Molly Cole
Namaste! My name is Molly Cole. I was introduced to yoga in high school (over two decades ago! yikes/whoohoo!); I like to say yoga found me then. The practice was just what I needed to focus attention on something positive and deep. Yoga began as something new for me to explore physically but I was captivated by, and almost instantly saw, the mentally calming benefits as well. The moving meditation piece, the observation, the clearing of the mind and judgments for self and others through asana/postures, is what I would crave and cultivate over the numerous years of practice, learning, growing and teaching. I began teaching yoga in 2009 after my first yoga teacher training. After years of practicing yoga, completing two yoga teacher trainings and numerous workshops, delving into research and reading many books on the subject of yoga and contemplative practices, I continue to be magically inspired and almost constantly humbled by the practice of yoga. Yoga is fun, yoga is playful, yoga can teach us about a better and more congruent version of ourselves. It is my hope and wish to embody this in my own practice as well as in teaching of asana in group settings: have fun, be playful, learn something, let something go, be, chill, breathe. Yoga has helped me through countless challenges in my life. It has helped me get through stressful times, loss of loved ones, being successful in graduate school, becoming a therapist and remaining compassionate in my work, being in a long-term relationship (with self too!). I hope we can talk one day about the numerous ways yoga and its limbs can be of great service in times of plenty and in times of hardship. It is an honor to share the practice of yoga. Along with yoga, and the outdoors, one of my greatest passions in life is traveling. It is adventure, food, laughter, newness, learning something about myself, sharing with others in this experience, sights, sounds, challenge and flexibility. What an honor it will be to co-facilitate a retreat with DaVinity. What an honor! I hope what I have to offer the retreat, as a yoga teacher and a trained and licensed mental health therapist (MFT) is as fulfilling for you as it is for me. I look forward to yoga-ing with you. Sincerly, Molly

Mel is the creator and owner of Temple Yoga Reno, or Temple Keeper. She brings the heart of Bhakti (devotion) to the all-levels Yoga classes she offers. Finding joy through teaching public yoga classes yet wanting to connect deeper into the Reno Yoga community, she began We Are One Yoga Teacher Trainings in 2013. The teacher trainings are in-depth study modules exploring the many ways to embody the teachings of yoga. Mel's personal Yoga journey began in her early twenties. Her practice has changed since then and now she finds depth through experience in the application of the teachings to be her most valued practice. Her training is diverse and began with Bikram Yoga 500 Hour YTT in 2007. She taught Bikram Yoga for 3 years. Since, she followed Janet Stone and completed the 500 hour Janet Stone Yoga Elements Teacher Training. She traveled to India with Janet Stone Yoga in 2012. After her experience, she realized there is only one Yoga. Mel is deeply and equally grateful for her root teachers including Rusty Wells whose inspiration is in every single class she offers. She completed 240 hours of Bhakti Flow Yoga Teacher Training in 2012 and continues to pass on the lineage.

My therapeutic wellness journey started while I studied theology in Germany when I was 18. After returning from 8 months in Europe, I received my Associates in Nutrition from TMCC in 2013, as well as receiving my Bachelors in Applied Kinesiology & Public Health from UNR in 2017. With a holistic passion for the human body, I received my credentials in massage & bodywork in 2019 and completed 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training during the pandemic shutdown. I have experience with post surgical and non-surgical injuries in helping clients through their rehabilitation as well as holding certification in RockTape Kinesiology taping. I not only provide modalities such as Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Release, joint mobilizations and facilitated stretching, but I also offer an approach to bodywork that increases the client’s understanding in their own body and the way they carry themselves day to day, in every stage of life. I am excited to emphasize the importance of Self in body awareness through building a powerful mind-body connection in your future massage.
